Guest guest
Hi All This is just a reminder that The 2003 -Wheeler " Miles for a Miracle " Walk for CMT Research will be held, rain or shine, on Sunday July 13, 2003 in Callahan Park in Bradford, Pennsylvania at 1:00PM. Funds for the 5K(a beautiful 3.1 mile walk in the park) " Miles for a Miracle " Walk for CMT are designated specifically for CMT research (checks should be payable to MDA/CMT). The first 250 registered walkers who raise $75 will receive a 2003 -Wheeler " Miles for a Miracle " T-shirt on the day of the walk. s who raise $100 or more are eligible to win prizes from the grand prize drawing on the day of the walk. For additional information contact Tina in Bradford, PA at 814-368-7300 or Wheeler in Eldred, PA at 814-225-3131. registration forms are available by contacting the Erie office of the MDA at 814-833-0131, and walker sponsor donations should be turned in on the day of the walk. All walkers are invited to join us back at Callahan Park for munchies after the walk! Anyone out there within driving distance to Bradford,PA is welcome to attend--vans will be picking people up throughout the walking route for those who can not walk the entire distance. Even if you prefer not to walk, we could use help with registration on the day of the walk, passing out information, and manning the picnic after the walk. This is the first walk of this kind in our area solely for CMT--please help us make it a success! TTFN Joyce
Guest guest
Since the -Wheeler Walk for a Miracle subject has come up, I am planning to attend with my entourage of walkers on Saturday. Since my family is from Pittsburgh, they all come to my house in Erie the night before and we have a big sleepover! It's great to have my sisters and brother and nephew with me all under one roof! It's a 2 hour drive for them from Pgh to Erie, then Saturday morning we all make the 1.5 hour drive from Erie to Bradford for the walk. This year some of my friends will be walking too, so there will be a total of 8 of " my crew " there. We also have a CMT Support group which meets in Erie, and some from the group are planning to attend too. I'd encourage anyone within driving distance to make the trip. It's the only walk of this kind in our area (NW PA), with proceeds strictly going toward CMT. So I'll see you there, Tina! And I look forward to meeting new CMT friends as well! Peace to All Joyce S.
