Guest guest Posted July 8, 2003 Report Share Posted July 8, 2003 , have the doctors done a blood test yet? I was in a car accident about 4 years ago and in the process I bruised my heart. They did an EKG on me in the hospital which came up abnormal. They also took blood to see if the muscle was damaged - which came out positive. Then they did exrays and such and ended up keeping me in the hospital for a couple of days to insure that my heart was healing properly. For a year I had periodic EKGs done and blood tests to ensure my heart was ok. The EKGs still come out abnormally on occasion, but the blood test now always shows negative. You may want to talk to your doctor about getting your blood checked. When a muscle is damaged it shows in the blood - I can't remember what it is now, I'm sure Gretchen can help with that.
