Guest guest
Hi! My name is Bethany. I am a new member to this group. I am excited about hearing everyone else's experiences with CMT. I was diagnosed when I was around 13 years old, mainly because I have a high arch. Then later, I began getting many sprained ankles, and I had to begin wearing orthotics. Life has just been a roller coaster since then. I am 19 now, so I know I have a long road ahead of me. Please let me know how you have coped with this as you have gotten older. I worry I won't be able to do that much, and it seems what I can do now is limited. But, I try to look on the bright side every morning. I just have to remember that I can walk, maybe not well, but still I can walk. Other people out in this world may not have this luxery. But still, it's hard. I am afraid I won't find someone to marry because of my condition, and I worry about what kind of job I can handle. So if anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated!
