Guest guest
jenny, i can't tell u want school to choose but perhaps u can get the school to be more accomodating to ur son. i am a part time student in high school, i'm 19 and have been part time for 3 years now. i've registered for my courses yet again next year and it will be my final year. i will graduate high school at the age of 20, 3 months shy of my 21st birthday. when i was in grade 9 and 10 i was a full time student but my pain and fatigue forced me to slow down but i haven't really gotton the hang of it yet. i also use my walker at school and it's been a challenge. we got a lift about 2 years ago because we now have students in wheelchairs and every year our school was fined because they didn't meet the proper standards for being accessible. the disabled students at my school petitioned the school board for automatic door openers on the back door so that we could get out and get to our trandportation. we've come a long way from when i was there in grade 9 and i'm proud to say that i've helped in that. i represent a minority at school that isn't listened to... we just got a bigger megaphone! alisha
