Guest guest
When my fiance and I had our baby girl we started to see a genetics concellor. He had advised us not to get her tested to wait for the symtoms to show up. He said the reasons for this was not to have her living with the stigma of maybe having the disease it might affect her having a normal life and since there is no cure it wouldn't matter anyway. Plus as far as insurance purposes it's always good to wait and get her covered before you get her tested. This advice might not be something you want to do but if anything you should go see a genetics concellor. They would be able to answer all your questions and educate you on all the different types of CMT. I know my fiancy and I were so happy after meeting with ours because he actually knew about the dicease and didn't look at us like a deer caught in headlights with we mention of the work cmt. thank you
