Guest guest
Hello everyone, I tried to introduce myself 2 days ago, I'm not sure where I sent it, anyway here is another. I am 49 and was diagnosed with CMT when I was in my thirties. I had a triple arthodesis when I was 24 to help with my balance.I only had my right foot done because I could not stand the agony. I felt at the time my ankle was too sore to ever get better and it never did, I am glad that I did not go back to have the left foot done or otherwise I would not be able to walk at all, in my case the surgery was not a success and I have suffered ever since.(Doctor did not know I had CMT) I have three sisters two a mildly affected and the youngest sister does not have it at all. ( I have it by far the worst) All these years of hiding my feet, and wondering why I had the highest arches I had ever seen on anyone, tripping over thin air and dropping things that I thought I had hold of, and now to meet all you wonderful people who have the same problems I can't beleive it. I just thought I was on was my own and now too have contact with others with the same problems is unbelievable, I have already learned so much that is helping me thank you all so much and my thoughts are with you all.
