Guest guest
, Yes, a study from Yale, I believe in 2001, estimated about 30-50% of those with CMT have tremors in the hands. I am one of them. Right hand mostly, I suppose maybe because it is dominant. As for the Neurontin, when I took it Epilepsy was its only FDA approved disorder. I am happy to see it now prescribed for 'serious pain' as that article suggested, but after back surgery last year, my 'serious post-op pain' was far more serious and needed more medication attention than any amount of Neurontin. When I took Neurontin, I would only allow the PDR suggested 900mg per day. I've had a lifetime of off label meds, also experimental meds, and now I take the least amount to achieve the best results. Oh, re tremors and Neurontin, Neurontin made my tremors worse - like they started in the morning...it was at that time I came off Neurontin and went back to Elavil, and tremors subsided. ~ Gretchen
