Guest guest
Martha, are you a writer? I'm not sure I've ever seen all that stated so well. My son also, enjoys life to the fullest, and he has had his share of things th at could make him feel sorry for himself. In addition to the CMT, he has duplication of a band of a chromosome, not a common one, 15th. Caused more motor balance problems, and mild MR. Speech delay as a child, all the things that the " specialists " evaluate, gait, motor patterns, grip etc. He's graduated now and doing well, has great friends, two jobs, loves people and knows what he likes and doesn't like. Makes the most of everything and one of those people that can make the crankiest people smile. He doesn't feel bad about the addition of the CMT on top of everything else, I do sometimes, since it came from me. I asked him last month if he was happy with his life, and that really caught his imagination, naming all the things he was happy about. Then I asked him if there was anything he would change if he could, thinking maybe I would hear something then, college, driving, something... He couldn't think of a thing. with a big smile on his face. Then for about a month he would keep reminding me that he was happy with his life too! We should all be so lucky and free of imaginary made up emotional messes t hat we get caught up in! Martha
