Guest guest
Hi Rockfarmer- Please double check your question/typing and the answer in the book. Its not making sense---you can always dilute a higher concentration to a lower one, but you can't make something into a higher concentration using lower concentrations. You also say the answer is 1000ml---yet the book is asking how much to add to make 200ML (could be a typo in the book giving you the wrong answer). Now if you are trying to determine how much solute to make 200ml of a 50% solution USING a 100% stock solution you could you a percent- solution formula. Please refer to the files section for a clearer view as the formula tables don't show up well on the message board. ..tot vol req..........volume needed ______________...=...____________ ...% available..........%desired.... 200ML..........x _______=____________ 100%........50% Cross multiply and solve for x. 50*200/100= 100ml. Let me know if this helps. Sincerely, Dora > Hi! > Can anyone help me? > > How much solute is required to make 200 ml of a 50% soluition for a > 100% solution? > The answer is supposed to be 1000 ml. > I have tried and cannot come up with the same answer! > thanks for your time! Guest guest
Hello again. I guess the biggest solution Dr. Reiss gave was identifying the problem. This was 20 years ago and I have sort of been out of the loop for a while. At that time, just hearing someone say " This is CMT " took a big weight off my shoulders. He referenced me to Doctors Hospital where 2 surgeries were performed on each foot to resolve the foot drop, and stumbling problems I had. This worked great and still does. I have needed AFOs since about 2 years ago and they really do a good job. Nowdays, with the internet groups and the abillity to exchange info is indeed a great thing. I guess that is why I decided to post here. CMT is hard enough to deal with day to day, and it was to me even worse when you do not know what is going on. I have just started looking at what all has been done and all the info is available through utilities like these. Right now, we have a son we adopted with Spina Bifida. He wear braces and uses crutches. I wear braces, but do not need crutches. The CMT has actually given me a special link with him when he gets frustrated with himself because I do understand it. Anyway..I'm rambling a bit... I'm sure technology will find a way to fix these things, especially for the young, but until then, those of us who stumble and our feet hurt and we drop things have a very special way of looking at the world and it can be useful to others. In some strange way, it is sort of a gift. Miles of smiles, Terry

So,we all fight the good fight We do everything in our power to rid selves of this horribleness whilst.suffering the extreme indignity of the ignorance of the medical profession, who in their eagerness to make it a nice simple world that can be categorized n labelled tries to label us or worse drug us When all we need is a bloody solution to a goddam physical problem!!!!
