Guest guest
Hi Gretchen, I already have the results of my nerve conduction test and all the numbers but not the dna test. Is type 1 detected with dna? All I know is that he said I was checked for the ones that have dna test available and that those were negative but from my nerve conduction test he is positive that it is cmt. ka *** Yes, ka CMT 1A and 1B can be found from the DNA test. And so is Type X. So that leaves us with the Type 2's - with just the test for 2E in DNA. I am not up to date as to whether or not other neurofilament light genes like 2F and 2G have a DNA test or not. So it seems if you are negative on 1A, 1B and X, and your nerve conduction test still indicates CMT, it may be one of the Type 2s ~ Gretchen
