He still says that cmt can only affect breathing if you are severly disabled with cmt. When I ask which type I had he looked in my chart and then said he did not know. When I ask about the dna tests that I had taken awhile back he said that he does know that I don't have any that can be detected with the dna test. Said that I am a little weaker and my swelling feet and legs are normal because of the muscle getting weak, cannot push the blood back up or something like that. He kept asking about testing my kids with the nerve conduction test if they showed any sypmtoms. I just feel like it was a wasted trip as I have learned more from this group than I have ever learned from him.
