Guest guest
Hi. I'm curious about something. I have no trouble with cheap shoes as long as I wear them with my AFOs. I believe the AFOs provide the right support in the right places and the shoes provide the cushion. That's my theory why they work. For the times I go without AFOs, I need reasonably high quality shoes. Does anyone else have this experience? I need wide shoes with my KAFOs, but not super-wide. Maybe that's the issue... cheap shoes don't come in super wide sized. When I say cheap shoes, I mean Wal-Mart or Payless. I do, however, need to find shoes with an arch. The AFO provides much more support to the foot and ankle than does any shoe or boot. All you really need from the shoe is room for your toes and a non-slip surface.
