Oh Kerrie, We will be thinking about you. This must be awful. Was the

teacher hurt or does he/she just want to make some kind of point?

hit his aide and teachers a few years back. We had many talks with him

about talking before you touch or do anything physical. Tell people what is

wrong. It seems to have worked but it took years. The teachers didn't like

his behavior and worked diligently on the behavior plan with us.

now tells them to " go away " but doesn't strike out. Some of our kids are

impulsive. This teacher should get a grip.

not true, granny. couldnt find a lawyer to represent us. none seemed too

interested in our cause or had no experience with this type of situation.

good news is after and informal and then formal hearing, the judge decided

that we are fit parents for ben and we are providing for him as we should.

he gave ben a lecture which went in one ear and out the other and we were on

our way! like i said before, it was a waste of everyone's time and money.

speaking of money, if i had enough i would definately go after the

superintendent of bens school for this and all the abuse my son took from

that school last year. but thats probably not going to happen. i am not the

suing type but that may have to change in the future. NO ONE MESSES WITH MY

FAMILY!! :)

thanks, kerrie

My prayers are with you!! Getting Zach his port was one of the best decisions we

made, and the surgery for it went wonderful. He has had it since last June and

its has been a lifesaver. I was very worried about it, the risks and all the

other worries a mom could have, and so far the worse thing that has been a

problem for us, is that Zach at the age of 5 didn't understand why he had to

have one, and other children don't, and he is very self conscious that his

sticks out far since he is so thin. He has had a occasion fall where he has

nicked the skin, or bruised the area around it, but thankfully we have had no

problems with the port itself. I hope it is as useful and a Godsend as it has

been for us. Let us know how it goes.!!.~MG & Zach (5-7-99)monthly IVIG,IgG total

Hi Sandi,

The surgery went well, she was in a little over an hour, would not wake up from

anesthesia though. We took out her IV and took her home sleeping and she slept

until 7pm. Was very groggy, but responded. She was in pain last night but is

much better tonight and today, has a little problem moving her arm all the way,

I think it is just pulling those sore muscles. The Dr said we could access it

Wed for her IVIG, can't wait. It was a hard decision to make, I hate her having

surgery, but hopefully it will be the best in the long run. Thank you for

asking. mom to - CVID, asthma, GERD

,

will probably have a rather uncomfortable time with the accessing

on Wednesday. Rebekah's first accessing was two weeks after the port was put

in and she indicated that it hurt to move that port around. The soreness

really goes away after a month.

Glad to hear that the surgery went well; I prayed for !

I hear you! I'm glad it went well overall. likes to keep sleeping

after most of his surgeries, too. I have also taken him home while still

" out. " The nurses aren't too fond of this--but I know he'll take literally all

day

long.

Let us know how the IVIG goes!! I am anticipating a smooth ride for you :)

Wow! Fantastic strength gains! I'm envious. I'll have to tuck

that away for another time - strength goals.

Anyway, read burn the fat feed the muscle if you want to a fat

burning plan. I know, BFL works great! And the nutrition is tops.

But BFFM really showed me about calorie deficit and where I can

improve my chances of having a fat reduction over the week. I use

the BFL nutrition ratios.

Have you heard of flax oil? I use it and make salad dressing and I

highly recommend it. I think I was deficient in Omega3 & 6's so I

also add a few walnuts in my day.

Sounds like you've got a great plan in the works! I don't know your

body type but at 165/160 I'm a size 8 and getting myself to 20% I

doubt if I will ever be smaller than a size 6 (I'm fitting into 6's

now and I just don't see a huge drop in clothing size ahead). Less

new clothes to buy!

Keep us updated! I look forward to your progress!

Good for you! May I suggest adding one thing to your plan. Make a

commitment to journal your feelings daily for this first 30 days.

Negative thoughts are the biggest hurdles when you are starting out or

starting over. If you can combat those by getting them out on paper

and countering them with the truth, then the negative thoughts will

not hold power over you! Best wishes for your success this month!!!

Dacia they are fabulous goals you are starting off right and I am sure you are going to succeed with it.

today is the day

Today is the day that I set as the day to renew my efforts to have a healthier lifestyle. I will admit that the past few months I have not really been putting a lot of effort into working at it. And it shows & I feel it. Today is the day that changes.

My goals for December are:

1. Record what I eat for 30 days. My goal right now is not so much to keep track of calories, etc; but to get in the habit of writing it down.

2. Exercise twice a day. 15 minute in the morning & 15 minutes in the afternoon. Again, it is my goal to establish the routine of when I exercise and then build upon that.

3. No fast food. If I know I am going to be traveling during the day, I will take something along with me or be sure that I eat before I leave home.

Reward for reaching my goal: a day at Mall of America (we are going to be in the Minneapolis area for a few days following Christmas Day.)

There are fine things which you mean to do some day, under what you think will be more favorable circumstances.

But the only time that is surely yours is the present, hence this is the time to speak the word of appreciation and sympathy, to do the generous deed, to forgive the fault of a thoughtless friend, to sacrifice self a little more for others.

Today is the day in which to express your noblest qualities of mind and heart, to do at least one worthy thing which you have long postponed, and to use your God-given abilities for the enrichment of someone less fortunate.

Today you can make your life significant and worthwhile.
