Welcome Melle France Benoit,

Thank you for the introduction. I too was born by Caesarean. While I was

diagnosed with CMT as a child, later in my 20's I was rediagnosed with

Freidreich's Ataxia, followed by another diagnosis of CMT. I too had

tendon surgery on my feet - at the same time. I also have no family

history of this. My feet are short, with high arches and I have

hammertoes. I wear orthotics inside New Balance shoes to give me

stability and balance when I walk. This also helps my gait and forces me

to walk heel-toe, not toe-heel, which is my 'natural walk' - a

toewalker.
