A new gift from the garden.This has been a great season for the bananas. We have two varieties, the apple banana and the goldfinger banana. They are really different in taste. You can taste apple in the apple banana and it is sweeter than the supermarket bananas. The goldfinger banana has a huge flower that hangs down (it's visible in the picture) and it isn't as sweet as the apple banana. I have fallen in love with the banana leaves with their incredible shades of green contrasted by the almost blood red to scarlet flower.
