Guest guest
Hello. My name is Ian, I am 42 married with 2 children and I live in the UK. My family have a history CMT 1B. I am presently waiting for my blood test results to confirm I have CMT. I have been waiting 6 months which I think is fairly normal. In 1991 I completed the London Marathon in a time of around 3:30 running in aid of Muscular Dystrophy because I thought that was what my father was suffering from. It was not until later that I realised there was such a thing as CMT. I have been told that I need knee cap replacement, I do not know if this is a good thing for people with CMT. Slowly I have become less active and suffer from a lot of tiredness and calf and toe cramp and restless leg syndrome. I know it is not positive for me yet but I think I have CMT. When it is confirmed I would like to do something positive like Yoga or meditation something to keep me active and positive. Many thanks, Ian.
