Guest guest
In our town of 9,000 no animal is 'euthanized'. All animals entering the 'animal shelter' are asked if the would like to be neutered. So far, they've all gone along with it.I suggest a huge voluntary program for humans too!Arhata Overpopulation of stray cats leads to an estimated 70 million cats being euthanized annually. That is a staggering statistic. Controlling population is the answer and it begins with awareness. Help the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals spread the word with your personalized virtual cat. Arhata It is impossible to determine how many stray dogs and cats live in the United States; estimates for cats alone range up to 70 million. Every year, millions of these cats and dogs of all ages and breeds are euthanized or suffer as strays. These high numbers are the result of unplanned litters that could have been prevented by spaying or neutering. Until people spay and neuter their animals, euthanasia will remain a tragic necessity. As a result, the ASPCA has developed Operation Cats, a virtual environment to promote the awareness of spay and neuter initiatives. Create your virtual kitty and help us spread the word about the importance of spaying and neutering your pets. You can help the ASPCA tackle pet overpopulation through Operation Cats! Operation Cats allows you to create your own virtual cat, personalize it and buy it a virtual gift. After you’ve created it, share your kitty on Facebook and Twitter, with friends and family. Challenge them to sponsor your cat or create their own virtual kitty too. It’s free. Check out the leader board and watch for “weekly special†virtual gifts! We get tons of messages from folks telling us they want to help raise funds in our honor — but just don't know where to begin. We heard you loud and clear, and we came up with this fun and easy way for you to make a difference for animals in need — simply create your own virtual cat!
