re: heartburn and dysphagia

Hi J & B: Yes, I have the exact same problem. I have heartburn

everyday, burb loudly and often, and at times cannot swallow my

food. But it not really that I can't swallow because the

problem occurs further down almost in middle of my chest. It

seems like the food will just get " stuck " . It is very scary

and painful. I have not gone to the doctor yet, but I would

like to try the new drugs they have out like Nexium. How is the

Nexium doing for you? My sons and daughter and grandchildren

all have similar problems also.

I usually take Tums as I am getting ready for bed and that will

help with the heartburn anyway.

hi nancy..sounds like acid reflux ..I used to take pills for it and for

sinuses.

mine went away after awhile on the medicine..I went to the hosp er once,the

dr

i think thought i was crazy,when i told him something was stuck in my throat

down in my chest...Finally I got sinus medicine that helps dry it up..I hope

I could help you cause it made me feel like I was going crazy..heidi
