Guest guest
I drive wearing AFOs. When I first got them I took them off to drive, but that took too long. The important thing, I find, is being the correct distance from the steering wheel. Also, practice in an empty parking lot. I have trouble merging or going up steep hills, so there are some routes I don't take. Joan P.s. I can't send mail to the CMT group from " Outlook Express " my Comcast address. It says someone in the group is being rejected. So I am sending from our business address at AOL.
Guest guest
I wear AFOs that are fixed at the ankle. I agree, the important thing is making sure you are the right distance away from the steering wheel. I have had no problem driving. The only thing I don't have is the " gun-it " reflex which is probably a good thing anyway. I also am thankful for the cruise control and use it whenever I go over 45 mph. It really gives my leg a chance to rest. K.
