Guest guest
I have been meaning to add this. An EMG/NCV can determine CMT Type 1 or 2. As for subtypes, like 2C, etc., not all types have a blood test for this. The last I knew, Athena now can test for CMT 2E. For anyone interested in the DNA tests, contact Athena (the lab) at http://www.athenadiagnostics.com Also Dr. Younger informs me that he knows of several researchers that are interested in discovering testing for the Type 2's. I will be happy to put anyone in touch with him regarding this - but the stipulation is that the person requesting the Type 2 testing information research, must first have had the CMT1A and 1B tests come back as negative. ~Gretchen
