Guest guest
Hello and everyone. I am sorry for replying late but I have started to use a normal laptop instead of the old mini-notebook and the new mainboard is more tiring (I have pain in my fingers). Now, let' s go to your question. You say that you have " CMT slow " , so I assume that you have type 1. If your father had CMT, you and your sister have CMT, and your 3 children (2 males and 1 female) have CMT: the transmission is dominant. It may be CMT1A or 1B (or rarely 1C or 1D) . If your father was very mild, I do not think it's CMT X, although it cannot be excluded on the basis of the pedigree. However a severe weakness in the thigh muscles (that is the quadriceps) is very rare in 1A (I've never found a quadriceps unable to contract against resistance) and also in CMT X. How old is your 3rd child? Best regards. Paolo
