Guest guest
My son has a condition where scoliosis is common, so they were doing x-rays every six months from early elementary school. When they told us he was going to have to have surgery, I was thinking that they would finally stop all the x-raying.... but they still do, and did a LOT of them before and after the surgery. I'm sure at some time they'll stop, but he gets them every six months even now, 2.5 years after surgery. He did have complications, though. This worries me because thyroid problems run in our family... > Recently, I've had Hosimoto's disease (which is ruined thyroid cells by the immune system) and thyroid cancer and part of me wonders if it's from all those x-rays I got as a teen... every 6 months..... x-ray x-ray x-ray....... saw something about that on the Internet once.... >
