What to look for in a surgeon?

Hello everyone,

I'm 43 with a 50 degree curve.

I'm starting to meet with orthopedic surgeons here in Portland, OR to

discuss a possible spinal fusion to correct my curve.

Other than good " bedside manners " , what did you look for in a surgeon?

If you met with a surgeon and didn't feel they would be the right person to

do the surgery, why was that?
