Guest guest
Hello, everybody, I'm a european guy and though I've been member for one year or so, this is the first message that I post. I had my scoliosis surgery when I was 16. I was fused from T6 to L4. Before I had my surgery, my curves were 76 degrees(toracic) and 46 (lumbar), and now they are 30 and 15. I am 24 now, and I've noticed no problem since I had my surgery, except for suffering some low back pain sometimes, mainly when I stay seated for a long time. Because of this pain, I've been doing some research and I've realiced that I haven't been given a propper post-surgery instruction on what my dayly habits should be, what I should do and what I sholdn't,... It seams that those who have had this kind of surgery may have some health problems, especially if they fused to L3 or more. I would like to get some infomation on healthy habits for people like us. Or just a place (books, webs,...) where to get that information. I'm especially interested on exercise: I keep my abbs strong but I think I should do something about my lumbar muscles too. Thank you very much in advance, Alejo P. H.
