Guest guest
Hi , I have had CMT since I was 4. I have 3 kids with CMT. I was in PT for about 3 years. PT helped me learn to stretch out my heel cords when they were tight. It also gave me someone to talk to about my CMT. PT didn't do much for me physically. Swimming now that was fun and I felt stronger. My advice to you is forget PT with a traditional therapist. Have your daughter do her own PT by swimming a lot and let her lead as normal a life as possible. This is hard for a Mom to do because we want to FIX our children. I promise you that your not alone in this. I am sure that one day soon CMT will have a treatment.
