Guest guest
My husband and I have one and we like it very much. He has DDD and this is the first mattress we have had that doesn't cause him pain. I am fused from T4-L3 and the mattress works well for me too. I get hip pain when I sleep on other mattresses but not on the Tempurpedic. They do allow you to try the mattress out for 90 days without buying it - you might want to give it a try. Guest guest
I have used Tempurpedic for around ten years, and it has been a lifesaver. For me it was well worth the money. I get a better rest and the bad pressure points don't hurt as much. Guest guest
That's encouraging. My husband bought one yesterday and it will be delivered tomorrow. Looking for quality of life improvement.  ~Lynda~ ________________________________ From: Sara Dolan <mollymol6@...> Scoliosis Treatment Sent: Wed, April 28, 2010 7:42:27 AM Subject: Re: Tempurpedic  We bought a Bob-o-pedic - take off - 3 years ago and it is a very comfortable bed and I sleep better than I used too. Guest guest
I am so excited to have it delivered tomorrow. You increase my hope with your good report. What is DDD? I wake up all through the night with pain and the mornings are hell. Really hoping for a miracle here.  ~Lynda~ ________________________________ From: Slinker <slinkers5@...> Scoliosis Treatment Sent: Wed, April 28, 2010 8:40:25 AM Subject: Re: Tempurpedic  My husband and I have one and we like it very much. Guest guest
Fantastic! There is hope...Thank you for sharing. Has the bed changed form in those 10 years? Any imprints yet? Hoping they last as long as they say since it was so expensive.  ~Lynda~ ________________________________ From: Barbara Aronovich <lumiere0@...> Scoliosis Treatment Sent: Wed, April 28, 2010 10:06:42 AM Subject: Re: Tempurpedic  I have used Tempurpedic for around ten years, and it has been a lifesaver. For me it was well worth the money. I get a better rest and the bad pressure points don't hurt as much. Guest guest
I've been using one for 8 years and love it. It removed the pain I was having from laying on an uneven mattress. I really can't feel my husband move nor does his weight pull me into a tilt. Before my revision we purchased an electric bed mechanism for it. My revision was 12-09 and when I got home and laid down for the first time I was in heaven. It did take a few weeks getting use to it when we first bought it but it was well worth the wait. We also bought the bsck pillow, side sleeper pillow, knee wedge, body pillow and mattress protector cover. I still get achy in certain positions but I don't toss and turn as much as before. > > Hi, > I was wondering if anyone has tried the Tempurpedic mattress? Guest guest
But Randie, doesnt the manmade fibre make you over-warm during the night? Lida in London Re: Tempurpedic Lynda, I hope and pray the mattress works out for you. It may take a week or two to get used to, so don't be upset if it doesn't feel right the first few days. I have found that if I lay on any regular mattress these days my hip and back eventually hurt and wake me up, but that doesn't happen on the tempurpedic. It also smells funny for the first week or so - but that does go away. I know what you mean about the name Jeanne. Everyone calls me Jeannie and I've always corrected them and they say, " But that's the way it's spelled. " I try and tell them that no, Jeannie is spelled with an " i " but they don't listen. There are really very few that have our name and even fewer that spell it our way. I love my name now but I used to it as a kid because at that time the TV show " I Dream of Jeannie " was popular and everyone would say " I dream of Jeanne. " and tease me. I started spelling my name " " for awhile to try and get away from the teasing. Good luck with the mattress. Keep us posted on how it works! Guest guest
It was amazing how much pain was relieved with the Tempurpedic. It never needs turned and mine hasn't left any imprints in 8 years nor have we turned it. Keep in mind...Tempurpedic does not give refunds on their other products!! Like pillows, mattress pads, etc. There is small print on their website stating this but I didn't notice and got stuck with a $275 purchase that wasn't what I thought I was buying. The most I could get them to do was an exchange for something else because they no longer made the item I thought I was buying. First they said they couldn't refund it because it was bedding & if I opened it it was contaminated. However offering me an exchange trumps the contamination excuse. There was nothing else I needed to exchange it for so I was forced to keep it. We've purchased all of their products and even that wasn't enough of a reason to refund me. I was disappointed and feel they cheated me out of $275. So please keep this in mind. They do make good products and I have no other complaints. Give the mattress the full amount of time before deciding whether to keep it. I have to say the only pillow of theirs I use now is the side sleeper style. We hardly ever use their regular ones. I hope you like it as much as I do. > > > > Hi, > > I was wondering if anyone has tried the Tempurpedic mattress? I have a hard time sleeping and I wake up feeling dreadful and in excrutiating pain. Guest guest
I'm loving it. It is making a world of difference for me. The smell is already subsiding. I'm not sure if the pillows are going to work for me though. It's only been a week and I am sold!  ~Lynda~ ________________________________ From: Slinker <slinkers5@...> Scoliosis Treatment Sent: Thu, April 29, 2010 8:41:14 PM Subject: Re: Tempurpedic  Lynda, I hope and pray the mattress works out for you. Guest guest
You got a deal! Mine was very expensive ($5,000), and I am so grateful that my husband was willing to invest in something that is making such a difference in my ability to sleep and wake up nearly pain free. I used to wake up feeling dreadful and it took me a couple of hours to be able to function. Now I'm out of bed and on the move. I recommend it to anyone who has pain issues. Wish I had known about the off-brand. You are a smart shopper!  ~Lynda~ ________________________________ From: Randie Meyer <taknitlite@...> Scoliosis Treatment Sent: Thu, April 29, 2010 10:36:41 PM Subject: Re: Tempurpedic  I just recently bought a Tempurpedic knock-off. The real Tempurpedics were so expensive and the less expensive ones were harder than I liked. The ones that were a bit softer were also much more costly. So I went to my local Sleep Gallery and I got a king-size with a boxspring, though not really a boxspring because it's solid, which is what I wanted so I won't have it collapsing in a few years, delivered and set up all for $1500. I love it. Guaranteed same as Tempurpedic, just about half the price. I think it's called Vescro or Viscro. I also had that smell for a few days, I couldn't even sleep on it the first night. And it took me a couple weeks to adjust, but now, when I lay on my old bed that I put in the guest room, I don't know how I slept on it. With a fused spine, that give that a normal mattress has is very uncomfortable. Plus nowadays regular beds are made to last only 8-10 years. This is good for at least 20. ____________ _________ _________ __ From: Slinker <slinkers5@sbcglobal .net> Scoliosis Treatment Sent: Thu, April 29, 2010 6:41:14 PM Subject: Re: Tempurpedic  Lynda, I hope and pray the mattress works out for you. Guest guest
I do not feel any hotter on the TM. I was worried that my husband would because he " sleeps hot " anyway. He can't even stand a soft pillow that would envelop his head because it makes him hot. So far he has not felt any hotter and seems to like it as much as I do. I hope so anyway. I'm worried that he'll pretend to like it for my sake. He swears to like it though! lol. Neither of us are thrilled with the pillows though.  ~Lynda~ ________________________________ From: Lida Kraz <lidakraz@...> Scoliosis Treatment Sent: Fri, April 30, 2010 11:26:02 AM Subject: Tempurpedic  But Randie, doesnt the manmade fibre make you over-warm during the night? Guest guest
,   Good to hear that there are no imprints after 8 years. That was my one concern. They gave us two " free " pillows with our purchase of the mattress. We are not impressed with the pillows and probably won't use them. We love the mattress though. I wish I could have had it years ago. Alleviates a lot of suffering.  ~Lynda~ ________________________________ From: Keistador <linda.robison@...> Scoliosis Treatment Sent: Sat, May 1, 2010 1:19:56 PM Subject: Re: Tempurpedic  It was amazing how much pain was relieved with the Tempurpedic.
