A couple more things on Chocolate Delight for those who are interested

Tonight for the first time I googled for info on raw unsweetened cocoa powder-

(that's the kind I'm getting next as soon as my canister runs out)

Oh My Goodness- you wouldn't believe how healthy this substance is (and not just

the raw kind either but of course the less processed the better).

I read one study that said that unsweetened cocoa powder contains at least TWICE

the antioxidants of whatever wine/grapes they recommend specifically to fight

free radicals. Before I just thought of it as a happy conduit for Coconut Oil

which I've been into for a few years now, my body really loves it, and for the

record, every body is different so and (and anyone else),

definitely notice what effect it has on you so if you do try it of course act in

your own best interests.

oooh and now I can't remember the second thing I came here to write -

well, let me take this moment and plug something called Stevia PLUS that my

sis-in-law turned me onto- Sweet Leaf has it and it's a Stevia powder that has

added fiber and a probiotic (I got it at Whole Foods but also found it online).

I dust the bottom of my cupcake paper with it and mix it in well with the cocoa

before adding in the coconut oil (when I make these I do a very small amount-

like 1 to 2 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil to a close but lesser amount of Cocoa

Powder. And then Stevia to taste.

Very interestingly, I was warned about constipation before I started Phase 2.

Not to expect to 'use the washroom' every day. Well , I'm actually even more

regular than I was before I started the program. It's probably a combo of the

Miracle Noodles and the Coconut Oil/Stevia Plus because those are the things I'm

doing that aren't the 1950s protocol. Honestly, I can't believe how great that

part is working out for me.

And Maybe one more general note needs to be written - I'm not interested in

debating (as I wrote earlier) or convincing anyone to do this who isn't drawn to

do it.

If you're not drawn to do this then by all means- don't. That could be your

body telling you this isn't right for you. Every body is different.

For me, having a Chocolate Delight virtually every night (and Miracle Noodles

with most every protein) makes it so I don't feel deprived on this program.

I've learned that when I experience deprivation then things like binges and

veering off healthy programs can happen. I am amazed at how much I'm enjoying

this program and other than these few things I'm pretty much a stickler for

Simeon's original protocols. (Well, truth be told, I might try something I just

learned of called 'reloading' which is so out of the box I'm definitely not

going to get into it here, but man am I intrigued and if any of you are too then

go the google route and search for it like I did- a few very compelling posts

should pop right up).

Oh now I remember! I wanted to let you guys know that I decided that as long as

I was getting the low-carb but carb/starch nonetheless from the cocoa powder

that I would not eat all my grissinis, I sorta trade 'em when I can. Some days

I don't eat any grissini, some days just one and some days both. All depends on

what I feel I need that day. And I'm so pleased with my numbers that I know

it's working for me. In the past month I plateaued once for 5 days, didn't do an

apple day (see my Message 11776)and on the 6th day was down 2.6 pounds plus 2

fat percentage points on the scale which blew my mind. Actually freaked me out

a bit since I hadn't seen that weight or fat percentage in probably 3 years and

it was like overnight i went to 'petite' and felt so much smaller it actually

for a moment made me feel vulnerable in a weird way. Had to use some emotional

tools to help me get over that. Felt like the protective layer of fat I had

become used to had suddenly disappeared. As my sister says " A First World

Problem " i.e. a good problem to have.

OK, I've wrung as much info out of this subject as I think I can.

Hope it's helpful to some folks and for the rest of you- hey, do whatever you

think is right for you. That's an approach I do my best to live by.

Here's to Good Health and Fun for All,

Fawn
