Hi Sara,

I am on Medicare, I don't know if Medicaid covers the same things that

Medicare does. I am able to get Physical Therapy treatments with

Medicare when a Dr. writes a prescription. It has to be written

specifically i.e. cervical, right and left shoulders....

Medicare covers 80% of their agreed-to pricing.

I have found Physical Therapy to be a big help with Pain Management

time and time again over the years for different parts of my spine.

The big challenge is finding a Good PT, who has a solid understanding

of the fused spine and all the affects of fusion. I've had some PT's

who have given me exercises and stretches that could only do me harm

and no good. I am fused from L1 to S1, and have a double curve and

since fusion 8 years ago I have major issues with my SI joints and

thoracic curve and cervical area.

Hope this helps,
