Guest guest
Some people at work have things very similar to that, and seem very happy with them. Although it wouldn't help for the car, work got me a super adjustable chair from rhform (www.rhform.com) - think it's the rh4 if I remember rightly. It's wonderful, and the pumpable lumbar support means I can just suit it to how I'm feeling. The only complaint I have at all is that the padding is a bit firmer than would be ideal, so when I was first back I had to sit on a pillow to soften things, but it's fine these days now I'm well recovered. titch -- Something unknown is doing we don't know what
Guest guest
I am a preferred customer (seriously) at Relax the Back and my mom bought me a Sacro Ease chair for my birthday a few years ago. I use it in my car and it has made a tremendous difference. The shape it to you when you buy it, so it will work with just about any back. I use the pillow closer to my shoulder blades than this pic shows, but I think it helps the most because it keeps me from having to sit in the 'bucket' that most car seats have. I have the standard model (they hadn't come out with the premium when I got mine) and would probably recommend anyone interested splurge and get the premium. The cushion was a smart idea! http://relaxtheback.com/standard-sacroease-seating-support-product- 1807-1866/Index? Guest guest
Dear Dereise, I tried one in 1989. Then, I returned it. It made my back hurt even more. I'm sorry. I don't think it will help. I'm sorry and wish I could have a better experience to relate here to you. lj From: Dereise <dereise1958@...> Subject: Back Support Scoliosis Treatment Date: Thursday, February 12, 2009, 8:31 AM I'm in a hurry to go out the door to my volunteer job so I'll be quick. Since starting the job my back is paying a huge price with pain. I've had to double up on my pain meds. to twice a day. As you know I have the whole 9 yards as regard to the fusion. I was 85 degree curved so you can imagine. My question is do any of you use a high waisted girdle for support. I'm trying to find something that won't show through my clothes. I need something that is long because I have loose skin from losing 100 pounds years ago so I don't want that pushed out anywhere.lol I would really appreciate you leaving me advice or a link to find something, anything. God Bless You, Dereise..... .......
Guest guest
Thanks anyway. Guess I'm still looking for that miracle to wipe all the pain away. Today at work I ran around in my sock feet and my back got really better. I walked on carpet so it was ok. I think that the weight of shoes is a strain. Every little bit of added weight effects the back I believe. That's why it feels so much better to put your feet up as well. It takes away so much pressure off of your back. I need to do some exercises to strengthen my back but I don't know which ones to do. I also massaged my back when I could today. In the lower part I knew when I was pushing on a nerve really clearly. I could feel the shooting sensations.
