Hi Everyone:

Just a word of warning to anyone who may be having PT for whatever reason.

Therapists are generally not too familiar with scoliosis (at least not in my

experience). I'm presently going through PT for an ankle I sprained over the

summer. She and I have been having disagreements since day 1. She keeps

trying to get me to do exercises that either bother my hip or my lower back.

You are the only one who knows what weaknesses you have on account of your

scoliosis. Do not let a Therapist talk you into doing any exercises which you

feel would compromise another part of your body on account of your scoliosis.

If you do, you will have to live with that pain as well. If you have a

problem, talk to the Therapist's manager.

I personally have never had a positive experience with PT. I know however

that others have so I keep trying.

Michele
