Guest guest
I find this part surprising: As MacCulloch's teammates departed, Matt Cord, the 76ers' public-address announcer, arrived with a friend. Taking a beer for himself, MacCulloch offered his guests drinks and apologized for having only a bottle of red wine open in the refrigerator. " I don't drink wine, " MacCulloch said, " but the doctor told me to take it with the Vicodin and it would knock me out faster. " ================================ I'm surprised that a doctor would encourage him to drink alcohol. His neurologist specializes in ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) but has had some experience with CMTers. I don't know which of his doctors told him to drink. Kat Seattle WA USA Kat, I have to admit I was sort of shocked by this myself - as you know, from my own experience alcohol and mixing it with meds only made my symptoms worse. Interesting too, since alcohol is on the 'toxic medications' list. ~ G
