This has nothing to do with toiletries, and is quite possibly another

hoax/urban-legend.

Regardless, it is considered completely inappropriate for this list

according to the List Policies.

I don't know who your doctor is but she is totally off base. I am wondering if this message is from an anti-HCG troll. Regardless, it is total horse manure.

I lost about 30 pounds on this great diet and I was recentlydiscussing it with a doctor friend of mine. She said that IT IS VERYIMPORTANT THAT ANYONE WHO IS ON THIS TYPE OF DIET BE VERY CAUTIOUS! SHE SAID THAT ONE MUST HAVE AN EKG AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK TO MAKE SURETHAT THEIR "QT" LEVEL IS UNDER A 43...She said that the electric charge inside the heart changes on a lowcal diet and it can cause heart failure for some...SO get checked!!!

Actually, no I'm not an HCG troll...I'm told you I did this diet, am

doing this diet as soon as I can get an EKG. In the mean time, it

appears that you are an attorney, NOT a doctor. Right? Okay well,

maybe YOU should get the facts yourself.

My sister has heart problems and that is the only reason why I took

what the lady told me as truth, cuz i'd hate to see my little sister

DIE because I thought that I was smarter than a doctor. In some cases

it's better to be CAUTIOUS than just assume something is bs.

K...so what do you have to say about that XENA?

My husband (a naturopath) says that the deficiencies that cause electrolyte

trouble in the heart are because of WHAT the people are eating on the low cal

diet. If that is a worry for you, make sure you are getting enough potassium and

other electrolytes in the 500 cal diet. A person who has heart trouble to start

with should be monitored by a physician while doing the hcg diet - maybe if the

potassium is deficient, for example, a supplement could be taken. My husband

usually recommends a protein drink that includes many vitamins and minerals

which could help ensure that people don't have deficiencies that could lead to

trouble with the diet.

Personally I have Bartter's Disesae with Gitelman's Variant... I have serious kidney disease where the filters of the kidney over filter and all of my potassium, magnesium, and calcium go bye bye. I take a lot of major prescription supplements for this and am checked regularly. The disease is one reason why I have heart problems. I'm monitored monthly. While I was on the HCG diet, I had no additional problems. This may not be the case with most. I think the most important thing to remember is that EVERYONE should have a physical to notify them of your plans to diet (whether you tell them exactly or not).
