learning about CMT disease

Hi my name is , I'm 43f. I have many family

members that have CMT on my dads side of the family.

My dads brother 3 of his children one of which had

many surgeries on her feet. My dads sister and her

daughter. My aunt was not diagnosed till she was 60.

Her daughter has had surgery and was diagnosed at 37.

Has to wear braces etc.

I recently had some symptoms that I'm not sure are CMT

related. They have type 1X I'm told and I could only

get it from my dad. My dad is 82 does not have it.

Although he never had a blood test.

Although my mom happens to have high arches hammer

toes. She has symptoms of restless leg syndrome. So

there might be a possiblity that she has a different

type. Maybe type 2 from what I understand. If the

problems I'm having right now with my feet/ankles does

not go away I will get it checked out with I've been

told would be a neurogist. So I'm just doing some

homework.

I've been having problems with very cold feet and

spasms in my feet and up my leg. It especially

troubles me when driving.

I believe I have a high arch. I never could find a

shoe or sneaker to fit my arch.

Thats all for now. I have children and they all seem

to have their dads extra wide feet.
