Mashed toes

Hello Group,

Here's how I put on my socks and shoes. I sit on my bed with both

legs straight out front on mattress. Then bend my knee, and put on my

sock. I hold the bottom of my foot, under toes, and stick my foot in

the shoe. Usually pulling the sock and twisting it until it doesn't

bulge under my toes. Sounds tricky but with practice it works. Then I

pull my longjohns over the sock and that usually helps the sock stay

in place. I must look pretty weird sitting full length on my bed,

completely dressed-including socks and shoes!

When I got my orthodics, the dr. told me to always wear shoes that

tie or fasten with velcro on topside of shoe.

The strange part is that some days I must wear very thin socks

and some days I need very thick ones. Same feet, different day. As

long as I can wiggle my toes inside the shoe, I figure I'm doing it

right.

Hope this helps,

Midge
