Guest guest
Great idea about the poll! (I didn't know we could do polls - it's a good idea). Please everyone, enter if you can - it would be useful to many of us who are trying to find the best way to approach all of this. Thanks! Guest guest
Ian It may of been better to have had a box on the poll saying that an individual didnt mind who was voted but would agrre with the majority decision, or even to show that it wasnt relevant to them. That way it would be able to show that many people are at least looking at the voting, but they have no bias to any one individual. I think it may also at least add the extra weight to the outcome of the poll. Well thats my thoughts Regards Rattigan _________________________________________________________________ MSN Photos is the easiest way to share and print your photos: http://photos.msn.com/support/worldwide.aspx
Guest guest
, We can actually see who has voted, and give us a total figure of the number cast. The whold idea of the vote was to select the most suitable person for the job in the eyes of the majority. Its not a case of bias towards one person. Those are the candidates members either vote or they don't..... Agreeing with the majority decision is not really the object of the vote, the candidates were nominated by the members so it should be a simple matter of choosing one of the candidates. Cheers ian Re: Poll Ian It may of been better to have had a box on the poll saying that an individual didnt mind who was voted but would agrre with the majority decision, or even to show that it wasnt relevant to them. Guest guest
Hi Ian While I agree with all that. But I have never met any of the noninees. I dont know what you are all like. I have a chance to vote but I can only cast my vote to one you. So I have to vote for one and ignore the others. Which I suppose is what the process is all about, but what about the people who who cant or dont want to have to put there name down for one person who they have never met nor spoke to. All Im saying is it would at least show that people are prepared to accept the outcome. If you go to the a board of people and say we have nominated this person to be our leader, with 8 votes. They say ok but you have over 250 people in your group and only half a dozen have voted. I think if you go to the same group and say we have this person as our leader with 8 votes, but with the backing of 200 people (in our dreams) it adds more weight to your cause. I too, think it is a shame that more people havent voted and I hope that the weekend will get a lot more votes. Regards Rattigan I will climb off my box now.. _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com
Guest guest
To a certain extent I agree with you, I myself as the listowner have only met a handful of the people involved in the group, but I also think that you can get a good impression of someone by the type of posts they make and the way they respond to and and interact with other members. Yes one has to decided on a candidate and go for that person or not vote at all but then thats what a democracy is all about, (we make the wrong choice but at least we've done something) every member has had an equal chance to stand as nominee or nominate antoher and every member has a chance to vote and the nominees have had a chance to put forward why they think people should vote for them, granted no one actually has yet. At the moment it doesn't matter if 10 people vote or 100 people what we have done is fairly elect someone to go forward and discuss the options with the BAA, nothing more, it may be that the BAA is not for us all we are doing is trying to find someone to take on the job. At the end of the day it would have been easy for anyone to declare themselves as the right person and go ahead and do it. I desparately (when I started the process) wanted to keep it fair and give everyone a chance to have their say and play their part in driving the thing forward, to be honest I was hoping for a few more nominations and I thought it may spark some interest and discussion. I think 4 nominations out of 252 is a pretty poor effort, and 13 votes out of 252 members pretty much shows a lack of committment to the profession. We can but keep trying......... Guest guest
I sent it to new hep singles so hopefully come Mond. people will be seeing it, and responding. and I ended up having a wonderful time, he was going to leave yesterday, ended up stayin till noon today. He didn't want to go anymore than I wanted him too. He said it was 500 miles pretty much on the nose to get here. He wants me come there for a visit, but I have a big problem of really having no one to take careof my animals. Said he thinks maybe he will be back ina couple of weeks. I cried when he left. it was so nice having someone to hold on to and talk to and have sex and not have to worry about it! Was great!!! I think I'm going to go to bed, it's just to hot to stay up.Will do better to get back to my night. It's just 86 degrees and 46% humidity. And in a trailer with very little shade it's just down right hotter than hell. I hope you get great responses to this! Love, Teri----- From: lzwilkinson@...
