Guest guest
Hi Patsy, As far as snacks go, there's a little convenience store in the lobby of my workplace that sells bananas, which O's can eat. Also, you might want to try buying something like grape juice. Some convenience stores have them. Also, there is a Sbarro near where I work that serves buffet items by the pound. I buy chicken there quite frequently, which provides a good boost. As far as fast food places go, I can't help you there. I tend to avoid those places. Guest guest
one day at a time, Patsy. eat fast food only 3 times a week... eat cheese 3 times a week... eat cheetoes 3 times a week... next month eat fast food 2 times a week and cheese 2 times a week...it didn't get on us fast and it won't go away fast...we have to re condition our thinking...slowly does it. it will come off. robin Fast FoodHello everyone,I just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for the wonderful posts. I am just starting the ER4YT eating style and appreciate all the helpful information and tips that I read on these posts. I especially look for tips for what's the best thing to do when I want to snack, eat a carb, or have to eat at a fast food place.I too like so many others need to lose weight and get healthy again. I find that not having carbs is the hardest for me. I have learned to love Ezekiel bread, but really miss not having Cheetos and baked Lays! I often do not feel full, so maybe I need to eat more of something. Fast Foods are also a problem...seems like my family is always on the go and we often end up at Subway, 's, or Burger King a few times a week. Oh, and cheese ...I love it! What's a person to do? lolThanks for the helpful posts,Patsy You are receiving this email because you elected to subscribe to the mailing list. Guest guest
I find you have to make the effort to prepare your own food. It takes time and sometimes its very inconvenient but there is no option if you want the best. I have often thought about some specialty fast food centre that sells wholesome food. I think if it was done right, there is a real opportunity as more and more people become aware of the nutritional issues. in nz. I didn't have it for months and I barely missed it and > now my money and weight loss are sliding into that drive through window. This is going to be my challenge next week, when the kid is home on Spring break and hubby took the week off for his first vacation is almost 2 years. We plan on being out of the house every day (the kid has his own plans and will be with us for only one excursion) but hubby's typical lunch on a day out like that is MickeyD drive through. I can't stand their salads, so I grab either a small burger or a chicken fajita, plus the fries, of course. I really wish they had veggie burgers like some other ff places are trying (Does Burger King even still have them?). I'm going to try talk him into Subway for one day, but know I'm going to lose the argument, since that's not something you can eat in the car and he hates going inside these places to eat. The only alternative is to drag around a small cooler with my own food everywhere we go. (sigh) Why do these things have to get so complicated? Guest guest
Hey Sue, I love wendys salads. If you use your own dressing they are quite healthy. You can ask for no cheese or whatever you want. They are quite fresh. I do wendys a lot. Their chili is also a good choice as it is quite low fat and high fiber. hugs, Jodee

Well I love the Subway Club, no cheese, with the fresh cucumber slices! It is so yummy. I also splurge (counted of course) for a bag of Baked Lays. Hey, did you know they came out with Baked Doritos? Subway has them and they are really good for a treat with a sandwich. About eating in the car, I am a pro, which is probably not a good thing. LOL I can eat just about anything in the car. I even had sushi w/chopsticks in the car before! Again, not something I should brag about. I guess I learned it living with . There are times when a restaurant is just too much trouble to get his wheelchair into and it's more enjoyable to eat in the car. Don't have to worry about their seating issues and employees or other patrons tripping over his wheels. Yes, it happens quite often. Guest guest
My favorites are either 's or Carls Jr. because they offer a plain baked potato. I go for a grilled chicken breast and a plain baked potato and top it with salsa. In a pinch, I will get 2 soft chicken tacos from Taco Bell minus cheese and eat only one tortilla. Guest guest
Joni still has the text version: Fast Food for Fitness http://www.geocities.com/jgrrl2/fastfood.html I'm not sure if the original is still up on the Muscle Media site. It's getting pretty hard to find things there. fast food I know I have seen a list that gives fast food restaurants and what's okay to eat at them. I can't find it. I know it was from Bill, I thought it was in my Body for Life book, but I can't seem to find it. Does anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? It's beenabout 4 yrs since I have seen it. tia, monica

When I do fast food I try for: Carls Jr. or s: Baked potato, chicken breast plain and salsa or GRILLED chicken breast sandwich no mayo/sauce and half the bun Taco Bell: Two chicken soft tacos, minus cheese on one, only eat one taco shell. I also go without the sauce Jack in the Box: Grilled Chicken Fajita or Grilled chicken sandwich half the bun Burger King: I love the new grilled baguette sandwiches but only eat 1/2 the bread. I like the pizza type one; or grilled chicken sandwich half the bun Subway: salads, low carb sandwich or regular sandwich (I triple the meat), lots of veggies and half the bun. Guest guest
> 's has the baked potatoes and salad bar you can get i like t order a grilled chicken sandwhich plain and a side salad from s. throw away the bun, or if you can't tell them you don't want a bun. then i get a side salad and cut the chicken into the salad. Yummy!! only about 500cals!! , Mc's has all those salads, but most have as > many calories as their bigger burgers. Yup!! Mc's in not in my vocabulary!! LOL! > > Subway has been touted as having the healthiest fast food, and many of their sandwiches are pretty low in fat, as long as you tell them not to add oil. Try their veggie sandwich on a whole grain roll for a tasty, healthy quick meal. I love subway!! I agree. And don't add mayo either. and the tuna sandwhich is NOT healthy per say with all the mayo they have in it. and don't let them talk you into a combo meal. w chips or cookies and a soda. hahhaha. BTW anyone eat cucumbers on their subs? Mmmm I love em!! I have yet to try the veggie sub. but I want to. i just can't bring myself to say " i'll have a 6 " veggie sub on wheat " hahaha. Guest guest
I am in a bind with pretty much starving myself the last few days. My husband plays basketball 2 nights a week, my son plays baseball one night and my daughter plays volleyball one night. Well after getting off I have time to get the kidos ready for whatever game, and we head off. Well after the games we (they) grab fast food and I don't eat, because of course I can't have that. Is there any type of fast food that I can pick up that anyone knows of? I am drinking the water, but I am not eating!sasat @
Guest guest
I always take mine with me. I cook my chicken breast the night before, put it in tupperware with lettuce and a wedge of lemon. Then I find a beautiful place to eat it if I'm out. I always take along an apple just in case I get hungry. Deborah > > I am in a bind with pretty much starving myself the last few days.
