Guest guest
First of all, I would definitely recommend you go to a clinic, talk to a naturopath. Because of your thyroid problem/meds you really should have doctor supervision. For the rest of your questions: 1. Hcg usually helps people to lose 1 pound a day, average. However with your history, this could be different for you. 2. For the clinic I went to, the cost was $195 for the initial visit(diet manual, 1 wk hcg, informational power point, and doctor visit) then $35.50 (for the 150 IU dosage) per week. This would come out to $443.50 for 8 weeks.(For initial visit plus hcg, not including support products.) 3. I have heard it both ways. However, I used MCT oil and the protein shake, UltraLean by Biogenesis and it really helped me a lot. Both in staying in ketosis and not being hungry. The price for these at the clinic I went to was $9.95 for 4oz bottle of MCT oil(you can get it cheaper from the manufacturer) and somewhere around $45 (sorry I forget the price) for the Ultra Lean. For 8 weeks that would come out to $400 (one bottle of mct every two weeks and one can of UltraLean every week) 4. My clinic actually told me I didn't need to exercise at all. But walking around is obviously necessary and additional walking probably would not hurt. However if you do exercise more strenuously, you have to monitor yourself about your protein intake. 5. I gave myself the shots in the belly (any fatty place will do, but it is easy to reach and to see on the stomach) once a day, usually in the morning 6 days a week. One rest day a week. 6. Side effects that I know about: headaches for the first couple of days(caused by detoxing), need to go to the bathroom more because you drink LOTS of water, some people could have trouble with gout- but this is rare and can be controlled by eliminating shellfish from the diet and some other dietary measures, blood sugars go down - if diabetic or hypoglcemic you really need to monitor closely. 7. Once you have reached your goal weight, you need to go through a transition phase diet, generally this just means that you add more protein(SLOWLY) and more complex carbohydrates(SLOWLY) until you reach a healthy calorie count for YOU, monitoring yourself for weight gain. After three weeks of this, your body should be stabilized and you should be able to eat just about anything you want. I should note that you probably wont WANT the same things as before. And you probably wont want as MUCH as before.(two benefits of the hcg plan)Also, if you go back to eating Mcs(just an example) you will probably put the weight back on and undo all that you accomplished. You will still have to eat healthy food. I'm not saying that an occasional junk food would do that, but continuous bad food will put you right back where you started. I hope this helps. This program worked for me and I hope that you do it, because I think it could help anybody lose the weight if they just stick with the program. And then afterwards, you will be HEALTHY and wont need to think about diets again!
