Guest guest
Doh! I really did mean to say 20 drops per ML...NOT teaspoon! That's important!!! So that would be about 100 drops per teaspoon (5 ml) Thanks for the correction ...and the research.cheers On Sun, May 3, 2009 at 5:56 AM, B <clb13135@...> wrote: See below Re: Re: Hello and Have a Few Questions...Hi Monet -- my bottle of Lugol's didn't come with a dropper so I wasn't sure about the drops thing either. It turns out there should be about 20 drops per teaspoon (5 ml). So what I did was take a regular glass dropper I had from some other medicine and drip 20 drops of Lugol's into a measuring teaspoon and verified that it did indeed come out about level. You could try the same if you're not sure about your dropper.cheers,Ian I learned in nursing school all those years ago that there are 16 drops per cc (not 5 cc). Just looked it up & here's what I found: generally it is 20 drops per cc, but since drop sizes differ you really should test your own dropper that you are using for drops/ cc. BGod Bless America! One nation under God here's what I was reading: http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/chem00/chem00578.htm Hi, !!!In a general way, you may consider 0.04 ml / drop.Of course, it depends on a number of factors liketype of solution, temperature, viscosity, etc.Alcir Grohmann========================================================The chemical " rule of thumb " for low viscosity liquids, the most commontype we encounter, like water and the common solvents, is 20 drops per mlfrom a standard eye dropper or pipette. The " rule of thumb " works amazinglywell.Vince Calder=========================================================,The actual count will depend on the viscosity of the liquid and the sizeof the dropper end. In general, there about 20 drops to one mL if theliquid is water and delivered from a burette or medicine dropper.Regards,ProfHoff 354=========================================================The reason you have not found this number anywhere is that not all drops arethe same volume. It is like asking how many people make up one ton. Thesize of a liquid drop will depend on the density of the liquid, its surfacetension, the size, shape, and composition of the nozzle, the flow rate ofthe liquid through the nozzle...That said, one mL is about twenty drops of water from an eyedropper. E. Barrans Jr., Ph.D.Assistant DirectorPG Research Foundation, Darien, Illinois========================================================It depends on the size of the drop doesn't it? But you can try thisyourself. Get a dropper and a graduated cylinder that can measure 1 ml.Count how many drops it takes. There should be a conversion factor forounces to ml, but I do not know what it is!vanhoeck=========================================================Dear :Unfortunately, drop size is not a constant -- it depends both on theliquid and the opening from which it is falling. So, here theexperimental method is best. Get some of the liquid in question, andlet it drip from the intended dropper into a container with one or moreaccurate volume markings on it. This is tedious, but very effective. Asmall measuring cup or a shot glass should do. One thing that CAN belooked up is the conversion of U.S. ounces to milliliters: 1 ounce isequal to 29.57 milliliters.Tom
Guest guest
Good luck with whatever you are taking. HCG is a hormone, not an herb or a drop. It is not a homeopathic mixture. It needs to be taken by injection. If eaten it will be digested and not increase HCG levels in the body . Studies show if HCG is placed under the tongue for sublingual administration, it does not enter the bloodstream. It has no effect. If you follow the HCG plan and take something that is not injectable HCG, you will lose weight. you will lose the same amount of weight if you take the injections. The reason to use actual HCG is that is to lose fat, not lean and to lose the fat in hard to lose areas, hips thighs, butt, abdomen. If someone goes on a very low calorie diet, like the HCG diet, they lose fat in the face (similar to aging) lose lean body mass (and burn less calories later.). They will tend to quickly regain any weight lost and add even more. The whole idea of HCG is it affects the hypothalamus. The Hypothalamus normally would not let you lose weight and if you do it will try to restore any lost weight. HCG is highest in pregnant women. You are tricking the hypothalamus to allow the body to release the fat, to feed your unborn baby when little food is available. It was discovered that pregnant women in third word countries with little available food lost fat and their bays were healthy. Their bodies allowed the baby to be fed without the side effects suffered by crash diets. In a message dated 8/26/2011 5:18:48 P.M. So the directions say to take 4 drops 3X a day, That gives Me 200 IU, But since I have been getting Really stomach hunger, I decided to start taking 3 drops 3X a day, that gives me 150 IU.
