Guest guest
I want to encourage everyone to make sure you drink plenty of fluids. I had a lot of trouble with muscle weakness and kept thinking it was low potassium and started taking potassium supplements. I thought I was drinking enough but was not watching close enough I guess. I finished my injections on Sunday and started having a rapid heart rate that kept getting worse. I finally went to the ER. They couldn't find anything wrong. EKG was normal, potassium was fine. They said my heart rate was " within normal limits " even though it was in the 90's! My b/p was also much higher than usual. The doctor said losing weight on this diet was " all in my head " ! I went to my regular clinic the next day and they said I was dehydrated and gave my IV fluids and told to to drink more. They understood the diet and said my hypothalamus was already partially reset because I don't have much appetite. I thought I would be very hungry when the hcg wore off, but am not, which is very encouraging. I started feeling better right away. So encouraging to talk to people who understand what the diet is all about! I hadn't been back there for some time because I live quite a distance away.
