I am pretty sure my family has type 1. Going to a genetics councilor was a

great idea. I do want to tell you that with my 3 kids the CMT was more

noticeable after their school shots. Many people will argue with this but in

our case and with me as a child the shots acted as a neuro (sp) toxin. My

last son skipped the last series of shots and so far he is fine. This could

be because he dosn't have CMT or because he skipped the shots. I have not

had him tested for CMT.

My doctor signed a waver for him after seeing the weakness in my children

after school shots.
