So i start loading this week, friday i will be starting my vlcd, we'll see what happens, i didn't mean to come down hard on you, i do know what you are going through, menopause wracks havoc on your mind and body, this is the only diet that has worked for me, i am not even tempted to cheat, i do with any other one, good luck, i hope you get to where you want to be, i'm rooting for you. jo I'm happy that I'm losing again. I won't go below 125 so I only have 3.5 pounds to go!
Guest guest
I believe that night shift work is very stressful on the body so cortisol is released and causes wgt gain and cravings. They have done a lot of studies on sleep and wgt gain. I did the night shift for years and found that the cycle of up for 5 nights and off for two nights wreaked havoc on my body and immune system. -- On Sun, 1/16/11, Blair Hetrick <jakey45@...> wrote: From: Blair Hetrick <jakey45@...>Subject: Re: What I meant to say was one month ago I weighed 137.5 and now 128.5.... Guest guest
at this point i work 4 nights a week, suopposedly 2 12hr shifts and 2 8 hr shift, but my schedule is normally 3 12's and 1 8, so i have 2 choices, get my rest or have a little bit of a life and lose some sleep, every week i am off 1 day, a sleep day and then back on for 3 more, weekends are 3 12's, either monday off or tuesday off, if i have tuesday off, i work 4 nights straight, if off monday then it's work wed, thurs, then fri, sat, sun off, but i chose to be a nurse and i do like hospital atmosphere, since this diet i have been doing ok, i stress eat, if i feel tired or overwhelmed, i tend to stuff my face with grahm crackers, whatever they have there for the pt's for snacks, but while i'm on this i don't do that, some nights it's so crazy that we don't even get a supper break, but i have been trying to do so, but friday i start phase 2 again, i cook my chicken on my george foreman grill and the one time i just went and got my chicken and ate it, that way i did get my protein, this diet does need some careful planning, i don't lose if i don't get my protein either, but ovbviously since i am not able to pick pick pick, i have been dealing with my stress feelings some other way, i wish i knew how! I have done well though. From: iamlovedbyiam <iamlovedbyiam@...> Sent: Sun, January 16, 2011 11:45:43 AMSubject: Re: What I meant to say was one month ago I weighed 137.5 and now 128.5....
