Dear ..believe this will go away ..believe it...I really hope it will be

on Mars forever..I know for me..most of it went away..I was sore here and

there..tired here and there..but not like the first attack...I remember at the

age of 16 not being able to hold the telephone....and everywhere else felt like

I was clubbed a hundred times too...the high fevers make us delirious...For

me everytime I got a flare I was stressed..big time...my body can't take

it..others handle things I just don't ? Wish I was a hercules ette...am not !!

I

tell myself there is always better off situations and worse situations...no

matter what..sometimes it helps..and when it doesn't there are my friends and

this group !!!! I do believe the pain you experienced is arthritis...it is bad!!

Especially when it is a bunch of large joints..you don't have to move at

all...and wow it really hurts......I had probably 5 attacks..all of which lasted

about 8 or 9 months..in between..was do able...this is since 1972..when I was

well..I am motivated to be in shape...hang in there ! Vent when ever!! Liz NJ

Hmm...this is interesting. I would guess that the anxiety isn't related to the HCG substance, but rather what you're doing, ie. a very difficult diet. I know for me, before HCG I was a total emotional eater and would eat things to help reduce my anxiety. Once I was on HCG, I couldn't do that. Is your anxiety related at all to the injections? I know that gave me fits for a month. Are you feeling generalized anxiety (all the time), or does it increase in certain situations/certain times of days? Is it more physiological (ie. bodily reactions - heart rate, trepidation, etc.) or cognitive (recurring thoughts, racing thoughts, etc.)?How far along on the diet are you? From: jessicandelker <jessicandelker@...> Sent: Sunday, May 17, 2009 7:53:27 AMSubject: Freaking out.

I have been having increased anxiety the past 2 days. I initially had some minor anxiety issues, but someone on another site mentioned that this could be linked to the HCG and I am wondering if anyone here has any info supporting/or debunking that thought. I would like to push through - and plan to try, but this is riding me fairly hard. Any suggestions?

Hi ,I occasionally get some anxiety too--it seems like, and this is for me only--I am not saying this applies universally-- that I have to get used to being in my new body.  There is a lot of prejudice in this society against the obese and conversely, although I am so so happy to be 47 lbs lighter so far, I get a lot more attention being lighter and more attractive.  It is embarressing (I cannot spell this word) to me, like I am the awkward 14-year old again.  And it can make me nervous.  What I try to do when I feel this fluttery anxiety building is go look in the mirror and bless my dear, adolescent self and my new body.  I always straighten up to my full 6'1" height and try to remember to give thanks for my health and life too.  It seem so

simple but it works for me.  Hope it helps and know you are not alone.XenaFrom: jessicandelker <jessicandelker@...> Sent: Sunday, May 17, 2009 7:53:27 AMSubject: Freaking out.

I am only in the first week, and I think you are totally right on the emotional

eating theory. I am an emotional eater, it's how I cope, and I have no coping

mechanism left right now, so I am floundering and feeling vulnerable.

I do feel a generalized anxiety all the time, It's increased right now due to

some stuff going on at home and all that but I have bodily AND cognitive

reactions to the anxiety - heart rate and trepidation, upset stomach, manic

behavior, obsessive thoughts - I just can't seem to turn it off.

Do you know if I were to take medication, could it effect my results? I'm just

wondering, because if this doesn't wear off a little I may have to medicate, and

since all the things I used to medicate with are forbiden... well, I'm in a bit

of situation.

BUT I have lost 5 lbs. and I AM EXCITED, so I need to take it one day at a time

I guess.

Thank you for your response and support!

I will concur with Dreaming of Africa as this diet has giving me the very best

gift...freedom from my food addiction. I have struggled with depression and am

still on my medication through this diet. The dosage has not yet been altered

and it has not impacted weight loss in any way.

The best and most challenging component of this diet is that it creates a direct

opportunity to confront how food is medication for emotional suffering. I ate

unconsciously all the time and this diet put me into a state of profound

awareness right out of the shoot. I was anxious and uncomfortable. But as i

continued, that has shifted into a feeling of empowerment. I now know I can

feel my emotions safely without using food to numb out.

I recommend you speak with your physician, psychiatrist or psychology to give

you support right now. You do not deserve to suffer while going this this very

challenging program. You deserve support. The HCG may be creating a reaction

and its worthy of an exploration. I know its created very intense pre-menstrual

symptoms in me. So that was noteworthy.

Take care of yourself and get support. Meditation, guided visualization, deep

breathing (breathe in through nose for count of 5 and out through mouth for

count of 6 or 7) will help.

Blessings, Lori
