I did it that way, not knowing if anybody

else did it or not. I lost weight at a slower pace, but the weight did come

off.

It is described in the section "Unforeseen Interruptions of Treatment" in P & I. You add more meat, eggs, cheese and milk to get to the 800 calories.

But I think this is when you do NOT do the

injection: true interruption from the diet.

You are right, that's for when you are not on hCG. Dr Simeons states that 800-1000 calories is likely to have you only maintain, not lose.

"As soon as their statistically normal weight is reached, these patients are put on 800-1000 Calories for the rest of the treatment. The diet is arranged in such a way that the weight remains perfectly stationary and is thus continued for three days after the 23rd injection. "

"For instance, if the diet is increased from 500 to 600 or 700 Calories, the loss of weight is quite unsatisfactory."

I did lose weight on about 800 calories a

day. Not as much as the original protocol allows you to, but respectably

enough. I was not overweight to begin with, and I was not in a hurry. A

more relaxed calorie plan was so much more comfortable to do.

I am very impressed with the HCG method

and so happy that I discovered this! I also believe that the

HCG method is far more robust than a lot of people make it out to be. I

did not bother with any organic brouhaha (sp?), used all sorts of skin creams, occasionally

even had 1000 calories, exercised, occasionally even had some sweet things

(just a little), widely deviated from the “approved” fruits and

vegetables list. So, if you don’t mind taking twice as long to lose

the weight, you can be a bit more relaxed.

I still lost weight while before no matter

what I did, I was NOT able to lose any of the pounds that I gradually packed in

after I hit mid forties.

I was in a early stage of pre-menopausal

state with periods getting totally irregular and skipping a couple of months at

a time. After I started HCG injection, my period came back on a 26 day

track! This may have been a coincidence but I do believe it is

attributable to HCG resetting my hormonal balance. So, if HCG allowed my

body to delay the onset of menopause, I am doubly thankful, since the onset of

menopause is beginning of the age related maladies for women.

Did you notice that your body reshaped itself, since you say that you really weren't overweight? I have thought that people that didn't like their weight distribution might benefit from eating 800-1000 calories with hCG, for the contouring benefits. Do you think that you got that benefit? How much did you actually lose in pounds?

I lost about 25 pounds. From about

140 Lb to 115 Lb (height 5’6’’). By the official

recommendation, I am underweight now, but this is the weight I was at all

throughout my life even after two pregnancies - before I turned mid

forties. I feel really good between in a 112-116 Lb range.

Given that I was within a normal range, I

did not expect to lose 1 Lb a day even on the HCG weight. Nor did I wish

for such a drastic change.

I lost only 1-2 inches off my hip

and waist. I lost 4 inches off my thighs which was my problem area.

2 inches off my arm.

I wore size 2 - 4 clothes before depending

on the cut: now I wear size 2, but the real difference is that I can wear slim

fitting pants. My thighs are smaller now than they EVER were

even before I started to gain weight.

I started this method as a skeptic.

I am totally sold!

Yes, that is the frame of reference where he describes foods to be added to get to the 800 calorie level but it still describes what the 800 calorie level is which is what I thought was the question.

The diet makeup to get to the 800 calorie level is the same even when the frame of reference in which he explains it is different. He still wants the biggest component of the diet to be the protein foods so when he says add more eggs than allowed on the 500 VLCD, it adds in a little more fat as well than what the 500 VLCD allows.
