Guest guest
Marti, unfortunately, long term care insurance is an individual coverage which is always medically underwritten. The underwriters apparently believe that there is a greater chance that you will someday require LTC care, and they aren't willing to take that chance. I'm not trying to justify that decision; I'm just telling you how they work. Underwriting is " insurance-ese " for discriminatory, and they are permitted to pick and choose who they wish to insure based on current health and health history and how it may predict future medical problems. I seriously doubt that you will find any carrier willing to accept you. I'm sorry.
