I am on week 2. For dinner I'd like something warm so I have been cooking my vegetables in a skillet with water. I am still losing weight. I cook everything till tender and then add my allotted meat. I find it satisfying and filling. I do use bottled water though or filtered.

Will cooking your onions and apples effect the weight loss in any negative way? I am not talking carmelizing the onions, just cooking them, sauteing them until transluscent. Any thoughts?Does cooking release any more sugar into the body when cooking apples with cinnamon or cooking onions with water? I just want to make sure that I am not sabotaging my efforts by cooking my foods the wrong way but can't find anything in the protocol that states the way things should be cooked (or should NOT be cooked). Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I am almost done with my last few drops. I have had an apple day a couple times, which helped when I plateaued. The last apple of the day, I quartered, cored and placed on a small amount of water in bowl. I sprinkled some Stevia and cinnamon on them and cooked till they were soft. What a treat! So if you need a little sweet in your diet, this is a good one to use. I steamed my carrots, in fact all my veges were cooked in some manner. I did not use bottled or purified water...just from the tap. I found ground turkey to be a very pleasant meat, cooking it with different spices for a different taste. I have found this diet to be a wonderful one that teaches us how to eat healthier. Have some fun with it!...Pattie
