Guest guest
Deni, I suggest taking a cab to work. Paying the fare may seem expensive, but when you add up the cost of buying and owning a vehicle, paying interest, upkeep, insurance, gas, taking flak from a spouse, and so forth, taxis are really very reasonable, and you get door to door service. When you buy a car, you don't see all the expenses every day, but they are there, and the meter is always running. Owning a car is a luxury. No, I am not affiliated with any cab company, and I have a car, but when my Mom decided she shouldn't drive anymore, and later was too frail to ride the bus, she took cabs. She was very happy with the service, and the drivers were very friendly and helpful to her. She did tip pretty well, which helped insure top notch service. Eventually, she knew their spouses and children's names, how long they had lived in Seattle, where they were from, and other interesting facts about them. And they never gave her flak about anything! :-) Some areas even have script (reduced fares) for elderly or disabled people.
