Guest guest
Hi Liora We stayed in the Residence Inn Chicago Naperville/Warrenville 28500 Bella Vista Parkway Illinois 60555 USA tel 1 630 393 3444 We had a self catering suite comprising a big lounge/kitchen/dining area, a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom. It was very nice cost $89 per night plus tax. I think they also do 2 bedroom suites. they will buy in food for you from local supermarkets. Its close to Dr Usmans office. It has a small pool and gym - loved the pool! Steve L has some photos of the suite which I'm sure he would send to you if you are interested - he also found an excellent taxi company. Its about 30 mins from O'Hare airport and 60 mins on a very slow train into downtown Chicago - probably about 30 mins by car. As we were only there 2 days, I took food for in a cool bag eg bread, cereal, milk, margarine, biscuits, cakes, juice even hand made chicken nuggets. They confiscated the GF sausages at the airport!! Be warned they are very strict on importing - you must say on the customs declaration that you have food - pre-packaged food seemed to be OK as did Chicken but no fresh fruit etc. They have sniffer dogs on duty which will catch you if you try to sneak through!! Guest guest
Hi Liora, you can go to Homestead Suite Hotel in Naperville, 3-4 miles from Warrenville, were dr. Usman works. This hotel is not much expensive and you can cook in the room. You can find excellent organic foods at Whole Food Market in Wheaton, not far from Naperville. Guest guest
Liora Sorry to have missed your post. You have probably booked up by now, but just to add we stayed at candlewood suites www.candlewoodsuites.com in Warrenville when we went to Pfeiffer last time. We stayed there for a long weekend very close to Christmas. We hired a car which was a good plan for getting in and out of Chicago. The suite was fine, kids loved it. No swimming pool on sight, but guest passes to the nice Naperville heath club/swimming pool nearby. Supermarket in Naperville. Good things to do in Chicago - Aquarium, Navy Peer, Hancock tower. My sister visited recently and rates the new Millenium Park. This time we are staying at the Autism One hotel at Chicago O'Hare airport. The only snag is no cooking facilities! All we need is one camping gas ring and we obviously can't bring it with us!! So, if you happen to hear where me might get one in Naperville/Warrenville I'd be very greatful! Looking forward to meeting you Sharon > > Thank you Ilio and Tina for the precious information, I will consider > those 2 hotels. > > Liora
