Hi, - we don't do recipes here, sorry. People can put recipes

they like in the files here, but we don't take up space posting them

becuase we are here to teach and support the band process.

There are a million other recipe sites where you can get good ideas.

Try the WW sites.

But I'm concerned about your post. Pasta and salads are not good band

food, and if this is all you can eat, something is wrong. It's likely

that you are too tight, and need an unfill for safety.

Please see your doc soon to get a fluoro and discuss all this. Trying

to keep a too-tight fill is very dangerous, and leads to all kinds of

problems, some requiring band removal.

For both health and SAFE loss, we need daily solid protein, veggies,

cereal grains, nonfat calcium sources, and a bit of fruit.

If you cannot eat these foods, something is not right. We should

always be able to eat a variety of foods, for both health and

pleasure. Banding is not supposed to be about misery and deprivation.

Please see the Band Guide in the files here for more on all this, and

the protein/fiber/calcium nutrition goals we should all be meeting

most of the time.

You may also need some blood tests, if you have been unable to eat

the good iron sources - red meat, pork, turkey, spinach, etc several

times a week. Some people who are not eating well and meeting the

nutrition goals are getting badly anemic, and this also is dangerous.

Also be sure you're taking a daily chewable multi-vitamin, as we all

should. I use the Centrum chewables. This does not replace good

eating, though.

Please do see your Band doc for a checkup. you have lost ok , but I'm

concerned it is not a healthy loss, nor one that wil stay off this

time. The goal of banding is never to lose " at any cost " - it is to

lose slowly and SAFELY, so the wt will stay off this time and will

not further harm our health.

If you've lost 50 in six months, you're losing faster than average

(which would be 25 to 50 since then). However, by simple math, the

more you lose, the slower you lose, on average. That's something that

we don't like to hear, but.....so it goes.

What is your starting weight, how tall are you, what's your goal?

As to tofu recipes, either go to your big local bookstore and get a

book of them, or simple google tofu recipes and you'll get more of

them than you can imagine.

Avoid pasta. It is evil. For many of us it gets stuck very quickly

and easily, unless it has a lot of sauce on it, and most sauces aren't

healthy either.

You should also be able to eat plenty of meats, as long as are moist

and you chew well.
