Guest guest
Hi Ken, I don't think it's a matter of 'eating perfectly', I think it's a matter of eliminating ALL of the sludge and gunk and stones, not just from the gallbladder and liver, but also form every other organ in the body, and then you must allow time for the organs to heal. Personally, I would allow at LEAST 2 years of 'eating perfectly' before I would start 'expecting' not to be affected by 'a little' cheating. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Kalexan328@...> <gallstonesegroups> Sent: Wednesday, July 12, 2000 2:11 PM Subject: Six attacks & six flushes in 2 years > I have been flushing stones for two years now. Guest guest
While I was having bad attacks last year my doctor had given me a prescription for roxyset. I haven't had to use if for gallbladder attacks since October of last year, but I have used it for my arthritis when its gotten a bit too much to handle. From February to October of last year I had 4 attacks that were sever enough for me to need quite a bit stronger pain management controller than 4 or 5 roxysets would give me. Guest guest
Thanks Dale, My MD father-in-law believes that no pain killer should be used for gallstones as it may mask the pain of a blocked duck... leading to major problems. Funny... he is the biggest baby when it comes to pain and is always treating himself for the most minor problems! --- In gallstonesegroups, " Dale " <Da_@e...> wrote: > While I was having bad attacks last year my doctor had given me a prescription for roxyset. Guest guest
<<Does anyone take a pain killer when they get an attack or do you have the baby natually like I do? << I'm sludgey too. I've had a few leftover percosets from an attack three years ago. They are WONDERFUL. About a half-hour after I take one, the pain just melts. I only have one left. I've been thinking of asking my doctor if I can have some more. I only got about six originally, and they have lasted about three years, so it's not like I'm always popping them. Unfortunately, i think we are subject to attacks unless we eat well. An occassional lapse is ok, unless the lapse lasts for a few days. My chiropractor told me to give up red meat and dairy, neither of which I ate much of anyway. I decided to try it, and in one weeks time I can now not even feel tenderness under my rib even if I push around under there. I've also lost 4 pounds. I may stick with this for a while, to see if it continues to work. Has anyone else been told to avoid dairy products? I think I need some pain relief! I never even thought of taking painkillers, believe it or not (well, I don't normally anyway). Especially after I throw up; then I know it'll happen again, and there's no use taking an oral painkiller then (in my mind). So I ride it out. And while it is incredibly painful, it isn't the same as having a baby naturally . Haven't done it yet, myself - but will next time! (First one ended up a c-section; his first birthday is today!) I still get tenderness, but I haven't been conscious of it until now (after I got my diagnosis). I'm not that diligent . However, I have noticed that dairy is a trigger for me. I haven't isolated anything else, yet. I'm glad I already like other " milks " - soy , nut, rice. I love my cereal... Guest guest
avoiding dairy products is a major tenet of Dr. Cabot's Liver Cleansing Diet D B wrote: > > <<Does anyone take a pain killer when they get an attack or do you have > the baby natually like I do? << > > I'm sludgey too.
