Guest guest
We'll need more info to give sugggestions that might help. When were you banded? What is your fill history? You're certainly right that you will not lose if your fill is so tight you can't eat enough, or get in enough protein. What is a day's typical intake? (be honest! :-) Sandy RN > Hi all, > > Well, I have only lost 22 #. It seems so hard. I can't eat enough to get the calories that I need. Maybe my body thinks that I am trying to starve it. Guest guest
Hi again, Well it is a long story. First I was banded on Feb 2, 2003. I had several fills with the surgeon that performed my procedure but I seem to be getting nowhere. He did not seem to concerned. He told me that I had 6cc in my band. I did not see him or get a fill for some time. I did not have the follow-ups or anything. Then I went to another surgeon. He checked out the amount of fill and said that he could not pull up anything. I was eating almost regular at that time. He then put in 2.75cc(this was sep of this year). I lost the weight that I had gained back and a little more. He followed up and said that if I kept this pace that I was ok. Well I don't feel tight or have trouble eating or drinking unless I do it too fast. I am not hungry. I don't have an appetite and it doesn't take but 1/2 to 1 cup to full me. I am now taking vitamins and calcium supplement. Wouldn't I have trouble eating and drinking if I was too tight? > > Hi all, > > > > Well, I have only lost 22 #. It seems so hard. Guest guest
- It's me again, I forgot to tell you my intake. I have been doing the fitday chart and I get between 650 - 950 most days. Guest guest
650 to 950?! boy, is sandy going be talking to you. dieticians and weight loss programs never recommend you go that low. of course your body thinks you are starving it, you are. that said, i have to admit when i started checking calories on fitday i found some days way too low too. did you see a dietican as part of your initial workup? maybe a visit now would be helpful - if the dietician is well versed in bands. if you are like me, you can't imagine ever being told you aren't eating enough! sandy and others will help you with some ideas about amount of protein, calories etc. > > > Hi all, > > > > > > Well, I have only lost 22 #.
